It's become clear to us that jumpsuits and rompers are this season's must-have! They're a great way to look polished and dressed up while wearing (typically) a single item. A lot of people shy away from this look because of the long length or potential camel toe. Fear not, we have many styles that can fit a range of body types! See how we styled a few we have in store now.
It's heating up and so are the summer trends! Jumpsuits are the play of the season, and we have the goods!
I styled a mauve and cream striped jumpsuit. The airy fabric and flirty off the shoulder ruffle detail is a great look for just about any occasion.
I paired the jumpsuit with gold and neutrals, going with a dainty layered gold necklace, gold and tricolor tassel earrings, and a tan bouton cuff with gold silver and pink customizable buttons.
Wear this look with flat sandals for a great festival vibe, or heels for a nice Sunday funday feel. It's a definite crowd pleaser!
Spring is officially here which means flowers, sunshine, and bright colors! I love color and being able to express myself and spring is a perfect time to do that. I’m over the rain and cold weather and ready for what spring will bring me, hopefully not a lot of allergies though. It’s time to bring overalls and colorful scrunchies back into rotation.
For my outfit I chose a pair of adorable seersucker overalls! Seersucker is perfect for spring and these cotton overalls are perfect for this hot weather. I included a really soft plain white tee to tie the look together!
I paired the outfit with some colorful accessories to put a playful twist to the outfit! I added a floral scrunchie because I’m obsessed with scrunchies and it just screams spring.
I also added this tote bag that is perfect for the farmers market and holding my favorite mug, who doesn’t love Queer Eye.
I'll be honest - I've never owned a romper or jumpsuit until this spring. I haven't really found one that I like or is flattering on me. My personal style is more casual, comfy, and varying shades of black - I think that's why I love this black romper
You're probably thinking "Black? In this heat?" It's more likely than you think. This romper is a linen/rayon blend so you'll stay cool while still showcasing the darkness of your soul.
I paired this romper with a belt but it's equally cute without! I think the belt ties it all together nicely as its color complements the buttons on the romper
Lastly, I accessorized with a cute antler necklace and locally handmade cactus scrunchie for a nature vibe perfect for outdoor concerts, festivals, and more!
This weeks SBR is something I feel every girl owns right now and absolutely loves, jumpsuits! They are so comfortable and such an easy throw on outfit but they're still so cute and looks like you put a ton of effort into it!
For my outfit I chose this blue button up jumpsuit. The material is so comfortable, I honestly felt like I was wearing pajamas. Which, who doesn't love that?
To give the outfit a little pop of something I chose this fun snakeskin print top. It was lightweight and layered perfectly underneath the jumpsuit. I did roll the bottom of my jumpsuit because well, your girl is short and needs all the help she can get.
To accessorize it I kept with the gold theme to tie in with the colors of the buttons on the jumpsuit and top. I chose this double circle dainty necklace with such a fun pair of wood earrings. Fun fact, the circles move around so they don't have to stay in one place! I paired it with a simple pair of flats and was good to go! A simple but adorable outfit!
We hope you give jumpsuits and rompers a try this season!
See you next time!
How excited are you for warm spring weather? We've been eagerly waiting for sunny days and we're so happy spring is here! With a new season it's time to try out new colors, trends, and styles. Here are five looks we've put together to inspire your upcoming spring time wardrobe!
Aaaahhhh...sunshine! I'm SO ready for some warm weather! With spring right around the corner the bright, cheery colors and shorter hemlines are starting to roll through the fashion world. I always get overly excited towards the end of the summer for cold weather, but I get even more excited when it starts to warm up. I think Sacramento does a great job of always giving us just enough of each season before we're ready to move onto the next one.
For this week's outfit, we are introducing what we would style for spring. I've been feeling a little blah because of all the rainy weather, so I'm taking this opportunity to hop into an Easter egg pink dress. Not normally a tone I'd go for, but I'm loving pastels for this upcoming season. This dress has a nice substantial fabric, but it's very soft and flowy. The fabric is heathered, so it adds really interesting texture to the dress as well. And it has pockets!! Who doesn't love pockets? The thing I like best about this piece is how well it will transition into summer. It will be perfect for pool days or Friday nights at concert in the park!
Since it's still a bit chilly out still, I opted for an oversize distressed denim jacket. I think the edgy details from the jacket pair so nicely with the pink dress and balance out the outfit really well.
For accessories I wanted to go a little more bold with some statement pieces versus the dainty ones I typically gravitate towards. The dress is fairly basic, so I think this gold necklace really jazzed my outfit up! It's got a nice layered affect and a pretty bohemian feel.
To keep up with the boho vibe I chose these fringe macrame looking earrings. I am absolutely in love with the fringe trend right now. It's so fun and different!
Crossing my fingers for a long stretch of sunshine so we can keep featuring this cool weather outfits. I hope mine brought you some inspiration to try something pastel too!
Spring is one of my favorite times of year. Everything starts coming alive and blooming into the most beautiful colors and the weather is just perfect. I also feel like it's just an open door to refresh all things in your life. The clothes also get so much cuter and fun so that's a plus.
For my spring look I chose this adorable button down rust dress. I feel like this color is a great choice when it's still in that weird stage where it's not fully spring yet but winter still hasn't lost it's touch. The dress has great movement and is light and breathable to spend a day out in the sunshine in.
To bring in more of a spring feel I added this bright pink and green neck scarf. It's a fun accessory and an easy way to bring in some brighter colors. I paired it with a simple pair of flats to make it easy to spend the day in! I hope you take advantage of this beautiful weather and feel encouraged to start something new!
Days are officially longer, temperatures are milder, and nature is in bloom! Spring is here and it's time for new fashions to accompany the new season!
I love to mix it up and go for the unusual, so I went for the jugular with this look. I styled a sassy camel dress with cut-outs, spaghetti straps, back tie closure and buttons galore! It's such a show-stopping design that the color offsets the details flawlessly!
I paired the dress with a retro acid wash denim jacket with ruffle detail, and unique accessories. Large camel drop earrings, a gold semi circle T necklace, a black bead bracelet, and a custom bouton bracelet added just enough flare to this look. I finished it off with tortoise shades, and this style's ready for any weekend extravaganza!
Though I love winter, I can't wait for spring warmth and sunshine! I'm really feeling these sweet seersucker-esque stripes this season.
I paired this fun dress with a t-shirt underneath for a casual and 90s look. On those even warmer days, I'd ditch the tee and maybe add a hat for some UV protection.
I kept the jewelry simple and informal. I wanted an outfit that's stylish but comfortable for a spring weekend doing brunch, taking a day trip, or having a picnic! What are your favorite sunny day activities?
With the weather being so everywhere, I am trying to embrace all the spring colors and match the sun when it decides to come out from all this rain! But I am definitely not ready to give up jeans yet. So I opted for some bright colored top and some patterns to get in the mood for spring. I don't typically mix patterns like stripes and florals but with similar color patterns it seemed like the perfect intro to the season and a great way to gradually get into mixing patterns for someone who doesn't typically.
And as a silver jewelry girl, I am SO happy we got some more rings in silver and necklaces that we previously only had in gold. It totally goes with the pink tones of the look and with the pink tones of my pale skin haha.
Overall, I love how light and airy this shirt is and totally easy to layer over it when it gets colder in the evenings. Plus a headband is an excellent idea for 3rd day hair! What are you most excited to wear for spring?
Spring is finally here! And in Sacramento it's already hitting mid 70's... but of course, it'll dip back down with rain soon! For my spring look I went with this colorful ruffle tiered dress. The flowy sleeves are perfect for this back and forth weather.
This outfit is all out of my comfort zone but I'm really happy I went with it. I don't typically wear such bold colors, so it was great to try it out. I've never owned white shoes before but as soon as we received these flats I knew I needed the white ones in my closet! The white slip on mules are both dressy and casual, I think it's the perfect combination with this dress.
This season is all about statement earrings. While I've never been a huge earring girl I am living for all the fun pieces we've been getting in! I wanted to add some contrast from my dress so I went with the yellow color way on these tassel hops. I also really like the woven detail of the hoop. It's very boho looking. Since my earrings were so big and my dress is a bold color I opted out of a necklace. This look would be perfect for brunch or an afternoon picnic!
We hope you have a wonderful start to your spring!
There's nothing like getting together with your best girl friends and celebrating Galentine's Day! The day is all about ladies celebrating ladies. If you decide to get brunch, dinner, drinks, or stay in and watch a movie you can never go wrong dressing up for the occasion. After all, it's your best girls that will appreciate your personal style!
It's Galentine's Day, ladies! Gather your best girlfriends and pop that bottle of champagne! As an ode to the love we have for our girls, I thought fun and casual was very appropriate. I went with simple pieces that could be played up with accessories.
This charcoal split dress is just as sweet as it is sexy. An oversized distressed denim jacket was just the thing to bring this casual look together.
A gorgeous forest green fedora added some class to this look. I pulled everything together with gold! Gold half circle earrings, a gold layered necklace, and a gold bracelet with forest green detail. I finalized the look with a green beaded layered bracelet.
This look is great for the fun times with our girls. Whether it be dinner, exchanging custom gifts, or having a movie date, you are ready for anything this Galentine's Day can bring!
This week's theme is one of my favorites- Galentine's! I'll take ANY excuse to get dressed up and go out with my girls. What better way to celebrate your besties than having a girls night out for Valentine's day? Husbands and boyfriends are great and all, but who is going to agree with you when you're being over-dramatic and sometimes irrational?! Certainly not your dude ;)
I *almost* went for something traditional Valentine's colors, but I changed my mind at the last second. Instead, I chose a dark striped dress with ruffles. I love the pops of burgundy, navy, and yellow in this dress. It's enough color without being...too much. The thing I like most about this dress is that it's extremely feminine with all of the ruffles, cinched tie waist, and gorgeous butterfly sleeves. I think it all ties in so nicely with the bold vertical stripes. It's the perfect mix of feminine and boss lady.
I kept my accessories minimal, as usual. I chose to go with a silver color scheme since I tend to favor gold. I love how delicate pieces can add a nice touch of sparkle to any outfit. Statement jewelry is nice, but I think more delicate pieces will always be my favorite. The way the beads sparkle on this necklace is almost diamond like! SO gorgeous. For my earrings, I chose flat round disks to match with the disk on my necklace. What I love about these is that there's no sheen to them at all. They're like a metallic matte, which is such an interesting and cool finish.
Lastly, I chose these adorable cage heels to finish off my outfit. I know that it's not exactly the best weather for open toe shoes, but I couldn't help myself! These are so cute AND comfortable! The low heel is perfect for romping around midtown and won't kill your feet by the end of the night.
In the wonderful words of Leslie Knope, "What's Galentine's Day? Only the best day of the year!" Galentine's Day is such a fun concept instead of just Valentine's Day. It's a day to spoil your girlfriends instead of your man. A great group of girlfriends is so important and they deserve to be celebrated!
For my Galentine's Day outfit I wanted to keep it simple and girly. I chose this adorable polka dot dress that has a tie detail in the front. The small polka dots are the perfect sweet touch to this dress. I paired it with a comfy cream sweater to keep me warm and the cream color goes well with the deep burgandy color of the dress.
To accessorize it I wanted to choose a fun necklace because, no one appreciates good jewelry like your girlfriends. I chose a layered necklace. The pink stone at the bottom layer of the necklace is a perfect small touch of girly to add to the dress! Put on your favorite pair of heels and celebrate the best day of the year! Happy Galentine's Day beauties!
As Leslie Knope once said, "We have to remember what's important in life: friends, waffles, and work. Or waffles, friends, work. But work has to come third." With that in mind, I chose an outfit perfect for a Galentine's Day brunch outing to celebrate friends!
Firstly, I kept it casual with jeans and a t-shirt. This cute little tee is a fun way to show your love and support for Sacramento! I paired this neutral outfit with a cheery cardigan in a spicy red color. The cardigan's puffed sleeves add a whimsical touch to the cozy garment (and for some reason make me think of cereal. Mmm.)
Lastly, I topped it off with a baker's boy cap which I actually saw a woman wearing once at brunch and loved. It's also a super easy accessory for those days you don't want to do your hair!
When hanging out with your besties it's always key to be comfortable! For my Galentine's Day look I went with our mustard cropped jumpsuit. I never thought I could pull off jumpsuits until I tried this one on! It's really comfortable and on-trend.
To give warmth to this outfit I wore a mock neck top with it. The white color top really makes the pattern on the jumpsuit pop!
For my accessories I went all out (well, compared to my usual style)! I added a neckerchief in a tropical banana leaf print. I really liked the green in it and thought it would be fun to try out some pattern play. For my earrings I opted for a statement pair in matte gold. I loved the earrings so much I got a pair for myself! Since I had statement earrings and a neckerchief I went with a dainty little necklace.
Since I went with comfort in mind on this look I wore my rothy's with this outfit. This outfit would be cute with sneakers, slip on mules, or even ankle booties! Now, just grab the girls and your waffle maker for Galentine's day!!
Thanks for stopping by!
We hope we've inspired you to dress your best and have the best Galentin'e day ever!
