It's officially Thanksgiving week! Who's ready for stuffing, pie, and extra gravy? Not only are we excited for the food, but also for all of the food-baby friendly outfits to style! This week for Styled by RIRE, we'll each be showing you how we love to wear a t-shirt dress for the colder months.
See how we styled our Navy Mock Neck Dress below!
Hey ladies! I was super excited to style this dress this week because I'm a lover of basic clothing items. I pretty much live in t-shirt dresses all summer, so I was happy to take on the challenge of dressing in one for fall! Believe it or not, I picked out a few pieces quickly before we snapped some shots of my look. I'm definitely not one to be super stylish all the time, but I found this dress very easy to dress up and feel cute in!
To make this look trendy, I paired some tassel earrings and one of my favorite jackets we recently started carrying. I own a pair of these earrings and I'm OBSESSED with them! They take a regular outfit up about 5 notches while also making feel like I didn't try hard at all. And to let you in on a little secret: Bauble Bar carries a similar pair, but you can snag yours while also shopping small at RIRE for Small Business Saturday this weekend!
This would be a look I would wear to a Friendsgiving, Christmas shopping if the weather isn't too bad, or even a park date with my little girl! I topped off this look with some casual sneakers and a hat, because sometimes even dry shampoo doesn't cut it.
When thinking of winter you don't typically think of wearing skater dresses, but depending on how you style the dress it can be winter appropriate. This week's Styled by RIRE is the mock neck skater dress in the on-trend navy color. It's a lightweight knit fabrication that can easily be layered to create that perfect winter look.
I styled the skater dress by layering a cozy knit sweater in classic greige (grey+beige!) over it. The sweater features a buttery soft thick fabric that is ideal for curling up by the fire on cold winter night. If you would like, you can layer a pair of tights under your dress for some extra warmth. ( I forgot mine at home lol).
I've mentioned before that boots are a seasonal favorite of mine and I paired this look with my thigh high black boots with a thick heel for a color contrast. To pull the look altogether, I accessorized with a gold circle necklace with a black stone accent to go with the boots. On rainy days or bad hair days top your look off with a cute wool floppy hat. Now you're ready for brunch with the girls or a casual lunch date.
I really like this weeks item, I actually have 3 different Navy dresses so styling the featured item this week was really fun & inspiring! Since the dress has a unique mock-neck I wanted to highlight it with a really cool necklace. I didn't want anything too long to highlight the neck-line.
After I saw the dress with the necklace, I thought it would be cool to add one of our colorful fair-trade scarves, especially since they have dangly fabric on the ends! I love how it looks with the silver & wine colors mixing and poking through. Since it's been so sunny out I wanted to add a wide-brim hat, it also adds a little bit of warmth along with our faux fur jacket.
This dress is a really comfortable fit & material so I would definitely wear it to dinner & a movie ;)
Sacramento weather has been all over the place! We were literally in shorts a week and a half ago, then it got chilly and rainy, and of course the sun decides to make a guest appearance. Luckily, this week's item is perfect for the roller coaster weather we get to enjoy each season!
I kept it really simple since this time of year can be really chaotic with running around for the holidays. The mock neck style is on-trend and pretty flattering. I typically don't like things so close to my neck but this was not an issue and really comfortable. The sleeves are also welcome for chillier days.
I added a long silver Y necklace. The dainty style is one of my favorites and it added just enough to elevate the dress from "basic" to "A for effort." I went for an edgy moto jacket to offset the girly silhouette of the dress (as I mentioned I love combining styles!). I finished the look with my favorite black low ankle booties. I know high ankle booties are more trendy this season but I just can't let these babies go!
I was surprised how much I loved this dress when I put it on. It's really comfortable and I felt really confident in it! I highly recommend it during this holiday season and beyond!
If you're reading this, you survived Monday! And after a three day weekend? You deserve chocolate.... or maybe some velvet! This week we're styling our purple velvet tee and we're absolutely loving it for the transition of fall to winter! See how the 5 of us styled it below:
I paired this comfy tee with our dark green leather jacket for an edgy feel, perfect for a fun daytime look! It's starting to get chilly here in Sac and I love being comfortable in the cold. This tee is the softest tee and for sure has a fall vibe to it with its dark purple color.
A jacket can make anyone feel like the coolest girl in the room, and our dark green jacket does exactly that! Not only was I super comfortable, but I was super warm too. I paired it up with our black ripped skinny jeans, for a casual look.
My favorite accessory is necklaces, and earrings. Adding a necklace can add a girly vibe to this edgy look and my hoop earrings made me feel edgier as ever. This will definitely be my outfit the next time I spend a day out!
I was really excited to model pictures for this week's look but it unfortunately didn't work out this time. Purple is one of my favorite colors, especially this kind of icy-toned purple! I also love this material so of course I found a skirt made of the same kind to pair it with. I added in a pair of black leggings, just in case it got colder, however I would definitely wear this without them during the day if possible!
This week I also added a hat, I chose black instead of one of our dark green ones since I liked the idea of matching the black boots. I would wear something like this to an indoor or holiday market. Somewhere inside so I'm not worried about being chilly.
For jewelry I went with some distressed earrings & a cool gemstone necklace, I thought this would look good with the tan bag I picked!
As I mentioned with our chenille sweater last week, this year has been amazing with so many fun textures! This faux velvety top is no exception. It's so soft and feels so luxurious. The material really transcends it from what would have been a basic tee. The boxy cut gives it a more casual feel while the fabric dresses it up. I decided to go for a laid back outfit.
Until just recently purple has been pretty rare in fashion. Not many items were offered in purple colorways with greens, pinks, and reds taking over. It's really exciting to see more purple. I paired this fun top with a light chambray button up that has rose patch detailing for a flirty look.
The black jeans gave it a slightly edgy feel, it's one of my favorite things to combine edgy and romantic styles. To help stay warm I added a knit beanie and I kept my jewelry simple with one of my favorite necklaces (also one of the first necklaces I ever sold at RIRE!). This look is great for school or going to the movies!
For this week's look I decided to pair our super fuzzy ivory coat with the purple velvet tee, along with some black distressed denim. Black denim is pretty much my go-to for fall, since it seems to tame the thunder thighs better than a light wash jean.
Confession: I recently discovered the magic of the shirt tuck. I used to try all the time without success, but I finally have mastered the skill and I've been loving it for my flowy or loose fitting tops. And pretty much every mannequin I get my hands on, gets the tuck! Along with that nifty trick, I added a choker with a diamond and gold accent and a simple gold bar necklace. I topped the look off with some basic sunnies.
I'm in love with the textures in this look, and have been one of my favorite trends this fall! Mixing textures and colors can really open up an entire new look on your wardrobe. I especially am loving the faux fur texture and velvet because who wouldn't want to be bundled up in softness with the temperatures dropping?
Velvet is making it's way back this winter season and I am all for the buttery soft texture. I'm loving our on-trend purple velvet short sleeve top for the colder months because it's a versatile piece that can be styled for many occasions. For my look, I paired the top with a trendy pair of step hemmed denim jeans. The jeans have a highrise inseam and just the right amount of stretch for comfortable all day wear. Front tuck the top in for a polished everyday look.
Now that it is sweater weather, layer with an oversized classic black cardigan. Pull the look altogether by accessorizing with a long circle stone pendant necklace with a black accent. Ankle booties are the go-to shoe for the season and they are perfect for showing off that step hem detail. Finally, you can top this look off with a cute wide brim fedora!
Need a bit of jewel tone purple in your wardrobe?
Thank you for joining this week's
Styled by RIRE!
We're happy to say that it is officially... *drum roll* #SweaterWeather!! What better week than the first chilly week in Sacramento to style our new Chenille Sweater in peacock! This sweater also comes in black and ruby red, and we're obsessed with it! You'll fall in love with its super soft texture and it's perfect thickness to fit comfortably under your winter jacket.
See how we styled it below!
This weeks styled by RIRE is a cozy cropped sweater that we also have in red and black. The fabrication is super soft and perfect for any on the go look whether you pair it with jeans, skirts, or dresses.
I paired the beautiful vibrant blue sweater with a classic fitted black skirt. I wanted to go for more of a street look so I added some opaque tights and a pair of Doc Marten inspired boots for a weekend hangout out in Midtown.
Use accessories to easily take a classic look and transform it into an edgier one. Chokers are a major trend right now, so I accessorized with one with a pearl charm for a little dimension. Buns are life during the colder season, so I created a fun look with two pigtail buns. Last, but not least, chrome nail polish is on the rise and my silver chrome nails tie into the detailing on the choker and pulls the whole outfit together.
Hello! For this weeks blog post I honestly wasn't a huge fan of this sweater until I felt it. OMG. This material is so comfortable! I absolutely love the cut and length, it's cropped just enough to be super cute over a dress (like so) or with high-waisted jeans.
The bright blue color inspired me to select fun accessories, however I like that we also have the sweater in black! I would wear this somewhere fun like walking around a craft fair or holiday event. If I had leggings on I might even attempt ice-skating, the material gives enough that I know it would be comfortable then too!
Since it's been cooler out but still sunny I would definitely wear sunglasses while out and about, and I think it adds even more cuteness to the outfit.
I'm really loving all the fun fabrics and textures this fall. This week's item is no exception! The thick and cozy chenille fabric gives it another dimension and the vibrant color looks great against the fall foliage.
I channeled Betty from Riverdale for my look, but with a darker color palette. Since temperatures dip quite a bit in the evening I layered over a chambray and topped it off with our new olive embroidered cargo jacket. I went with distressed step hem jeans versus a simple style like Betty would.
This easy preppy look is great for school, weekend fun, sleuthing, or getting a quick bite at your local burger joint :) Milkshakes optional but highly recommended!
Another week, another bun! One thing I love about sweater weather is the trends are usually the coziest. Hence, an excuse not to do my hair. Not only is it too cold for hair styling, I'm still loving tassel earrings and I'll use any excuse to show them off!
The vibrant hue of blue in this sweater gives me all the heart eyes. And how cute is the color name "peacock"? As if I needed another reason to want to buy it! I decided to pair the sweater with a pair of distressed black denim which is my go-to for fall and winter. Stretchy denim is every girls' dream, especially when it's cold outside.
Cross-body bags have become a favorite of mine ever since my daughter no longer needed 56 things to be carried around in a diaper bag. I love this one because it's big enough to carry my wallet, keys, a small pack of wipes, and just about 3 My Little Ponies, without being too bulky. The gorgeous warm tone of the purse contrasts with the bright blue sweater, and the earrings tie the entire outfit together.
We thought this would be the perfect time to welcome our newest member to the girl gang here at RIRE. Meet Adrianna! We're super excited to have her and are excited to work with her!
