Welcome back friends! This week we will be styling our Strappy Swing Dress which comes in both hunter green and deep purple! Which color is your favorite? With such soft fabric and fun colors, this simple dress can be styled a million different ways! Let's see how each girl styled this comfy beauty down below!
This great shift dress comes in hunter green and purple! With purple being my favorite color, the decision was made automatically!
With the silhouette of the dress being relaxed throughout, yet very short with spaghetti straps, one may not be sure how to style this. I decided to keep it casual and layer the look. I personally love the combination of purple, gold and black, so I went with what I love! I paired the purple dress with a mustard lace racer back bralette for some fun color blocking and material mixing. The rest of this look is completed with accessories: gold heart trim hoop earrings, gold and black feather necklace, and purple sunnies with gold arms.
Finalize the look with some blingy sandals, and you are dressed for some great R&R at the lake, happy hour with friends, or a concert in the park!
Summer is in full swing and it's time to channel a tropical look to match the heat! Since we've been hovering 99+ degrees all week this dress is so comfortable for all day wear and it's great for travel too. I paired this hunter green slinky dress with an orange, taupe, and blue printed button up.
This dress looks great on its own but the colors of this button up really make the teal shine. I kept it unbuttoned for a laid-back feel and so I can add a long marbley necklace. Another option I would do is to tie the bottom into a know and leave the top unbuttoned.
To complete this look I opted for light brown sandals, perfect for walking along the beach! This look is so comfortable I highly recommend it for travel. Whether you're going by plane, boat, or car it'll keep you comfortable all day long!
I think having certain basic staples in your closet are important to have. The ones that you can easily dress up or down and can easily be transformed with a jacket or jewelry. This purple dress is definitely one of those staples to have.
To compliment this purple dress I paired it with a light blue kimono to give it a lighter feel to the outfit. The pattern of light pink florals with a deep purple center help bring out the purple in the dress without being too overwhelming. If you were going out on the town it would be perfect to wear a wedged heel, but if you’re enjoying a Sunday in the park a cute sandal would pair so well with it.
I chose a longer statement necklace to elongate the dress since the kimono is longer as well. I chose a gold necklace with blue tassels to help compliment the blue in the dress. Silver jewelry would go perfect with it as well.
First off, I'm a dancer so I LIVE for soft clothes and always want to be comfortable, so I was ecstatic when I tried on this dress for the first time! I chose the hunter green color because I thought it was a bit more unique and a much harder color to find. This dress is exactly what I've been looking for, it's super easy to just throw on with minimal to no accessories and you're ready for your day!
I kept it super simple with my accessories to keep that easy, on-the-go look. I paired this dress with an oversized sweater to keep me comfy and a bit warmer for when the breeze kicks in. I really like this sweater because it has a nice neutral color that can go with so many different outfits, it's the perfect every day sweater!
Finally, to add some interest and a main focus to this outfit, I added a long statement necklace. This necklace is a great length for simpler dresses like this one because it hits right in the middle to give the dress a center. This is currently one of my favorite necklaces because of its unique geometric shape. This is a super easy outfit that you can recreate with a million different shift or shirt dresses, sweaters or kimonos, and fun jewelry! This outfit is perfect for a long day of errands, going out shopping, or even just a day you want to dress cute while still staying nice and comfortable!
Little sun dresses are the perfect go to outfit this season, especially on lazy days when you want to throw something quick on! Such a simple, yet it looks like as if you spent all morning getting ready. This week I decided to switch up my usual looks and go with a green dress!
This dress is fun, flowy, and super soft! What more could you want in a dress!? I decided to pair this dress with a navy kimino. I love this duo because I felt dressy but casual at the same time and it instantly put me in the mood to walk around midtown on a warm summer night for dinner and drinks!
Since the colors of my outfit are on the darker side I decided to accessorize with a long gold necklace to add a little spark to it. It helps makes the outfit jump out more without taking to much away from it! Now I just throw on some cute little wedges and I'm ready for my night!
July is officially the start of all the fun summer activities we look forward to all year! Sacramento, has so many outdoor concerts, festivals, markets, and events its hard to ever get bored. That's why this purple tank dress is a great light weight summer essential piece. Temps can easily soar over 100 degrees around here, so having to wear as little clothing as possible is definitely a good idea!
I love the fact that this dress is form fitting but also loose enough not to cling to any of your sensitive areas. Basically, its minimal and freeing enough without exposing unwanted rolls, bumps, or humps! Lets just say it can be flattering on many body types. I also like that this dress is a solid color, this way you can pair it easily with many other articles of clothing or accessories. I chose to dress this item up with a long denim jacket, mirrored sunglasses, and an assortment of bohemian jewelry.
The denim Jacket and jewelry that I chose to pair with the purple tank dress definitely made my overall look more on the casual side. My outfit was styled for a concert in the park because the mirrored sunglasses, turquoise bracelets and ring styled together had a full on summer music festival vibe. At first I was hesitant to wear this dress because I thought that it wouldn't look good on my shape, but I was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable and flattering it was.
We hope you enjoyed this week's Styled By RIRE!
See you next week!

Now that summer is officially here it's time to open your patio umbrellas, heat up the grill, and invite your favorites over for a little backyard BBQ party fun. This week we are excited to share that we have teamed up with The Plant Foundry to bring you summer looks and items fit for the perfect Backyard BBQ Party!
The Plant Foundry is our amazing neighbor in Oak Park. You can find many succulents, flowers, and decor in this well curated space. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, especially if you're a beginner gardener!
To celebrate summer we are hosting a giveaway on Instagram for a $50 gift card to The Plant Foundry and a $50 gift card to RIRE! Be sure to join in!!
Hosting parties is one of my favorite hobbies of all time! Now that summer is officially here, backyard barbecues reign supreme on the party spectrum. When it comes to hosting backyard gatherings I like to keep the menu pretty traditional with BBQ basics like Potato Salad. Then I'll spice ordinary menu items up with fresh picked herbs from my garden, that you can find at The Plant Foundry, for an interesting kick of flavor. Rosemary is one of my favorite herbs to cook with because of its bold flavor and health benefits. For my styled look I chose an off the shoulder floral dress, paired with large statement earrings, and topped the whole thing off with a grey felt fedora.
I definitely need a comfortable breezy outfit that I can race around in, but also one that stands out to show my guests that I’m the host. The bright blue hue and floral print are perfect to stand out, while the lightweight loose flowing fabric is freeing enough to cook and micro-manage all the details of an event. Another great feature that I adore about this dress is that it has very short snug off the shoulder sleeves. You won’t worry about pulling them about or trying to keep them from dunking into the salsa bowl.
My accessories are very low key but still stylish and practical! The large soft pink earrings contrast against the bright blue dress, and also help to elongate my round face. The hat is my favorite accessory. You just can’t “not” feel cool and stylish in a fedora (que Indiana Jones music!) But it’s just as pretty as it is practical by keeping the summer sun at bay. Over all my look is a little feminine, a little rugged, and a lot of fun.
This heat wave has officially introduced us to summer time! Local pools are open, the Sacramento river is buzzing, and it's time to fire up the grill! This week's installment is based around a backyard barbecue! When I think of barbecue, I think of the heat! From the weather to the grill, it's only gonna heat up more as the summer continues. I also thought of food, and how I'll need a stylish yet forgiving ensemble to truly enjoy myself.
I decided to go for a great faux wrap dress in navy and white stripes. The short length, spaghetti straps, and plunging neckline are sure to keep me cool though any summer event. The fact that it's a dress automatically gives it a more formal feel. The waist belt offers a beautiful cinch to the figure of the dress, and the skirt portion is relaxed, so more room for food and drinks and dance!
The color scheme keeps things simple, which is the perfect opportunity to play up the look with accessories! Gold hardware and a bright pop of color with shoes and shades make this look an official mood. Now that the ensemble has been put together, it's time to head to The Plant Foundry and grab a gorgeous succulent to gift my gracious hosts! Besides my presence, a succulent is the perfect gift that can withstand the heat!
With the days being so hot and the nights lasting longer it's now the perfect time to have friends over for a little backyard fun! Since festivities start a little later it gives plenty of time to prep food and look your best. As a party host you're always on the go, refilling food, grilling meats and veggies, making sure the drinks are topped off, so I went with an easy coral floral dress for quick movement.
I'm loving tropical floral prints right now and this little number checks all the boxes! The neckline is really flattering and the flouncy material sways easily while staying down to keep you covered. The bright color will let my guests see me from all angles so they can flag me for anything! I kept my accessories to a minimum so that I wouldn't accidentally get them in any food ;) And did a half tie on my hair so my bangs wouldn't get in my eyes.
To set the tropical mood I would decorate my backyard with succulents and palm plants from The Plant Foundry. I'm obsessed with this bright pink metal flamingo! He would be great to sit near all the iced drinks as a little bartender, hah! For ambiance I'd also add in fun string lights, area rugs, pillows, and hammocks for my guests to also relax. My party favor for all my friends would be a mini succulent and seeds so they can also start their gardens!
Happy summer! When I think of summer I always think of backyard BBQ’s with all your friends gathered around you laughing, eating good food, and playing backyard games or swimming in the pool. It’s such a fun time of year. For my look I imagined myself as the hostess with the mostest! I love gathering all my friends and family any chance I get.
When hosting you of course want to look cute and make an impression but you still want your outfit to be functional since you’ll most likely be running around making sure everything is perfect for your guest. I chose this denim skirt paired with this simple white tee tied up in the front. Both of these pieces are simple but still make a cute impact.
To give my outfit a little bit of extra flare to impress my guest I added a straw hat and very simple gold jewelry. As a host I don’t want heavy jewelry dragging me down and getting in my way. Less is more in this situation. All you have to do is pair it with a cute pair of clogs or wedges and you’ve got yourself the perfect host outfit for you backyard BBQ!
Summer is finally here and it's time to pull out those short shorts! This sexy style is sure to turn heads with its bright fun colors and unique designs. Summer comes and goes in a blink of an eye but those memories last a lifetime, so throw on those shades and have some fun!
As soon as I saw this mustard bodysuit, I was in love! Strut your stuff with your sexier side by showing off those curves! I chose to pair it with these new denim distressed shorts! They have a fun summer design with striped pockets and are just high enough to hide the lower half of the stitching on the bodysuit. These two items pair perfectly together, now it's time to jazz it up with some unique accessories!
Blue and mustard are our theme colors for this outfit and what better way to bring those colors out than with accessories! The headband I used is a great example, it brings in our colors while adding a few as well so your don't overpower the look. It has mustard, blue, and navy stripes with cute white polka dots to brighten it up! Finally, I added a gold statement necklace with just a pop of blue to tie this outfit together. This look is great for fun summer activities such as bbq's, festivals, and memorable adventures!
My favorite summer time festivity will always be backyard BBQ parties! I love the whole vibe of being outside with my friends enjoying each others company over food and drinks in the comfort of one of our homes! BBQ's make me just wanna be comfy and soak in all the fresh air and sun, so of course, I went with a casual look!
I put together an army green ribbed tank with some super cute distressed jeans! This outfit is still casual enough that I feel comfy, yet still cute enough to the point that I can swap out my flip flops for some brown wedges and wear it to a dinner out!
I obviously kept the casual idea going when it came to accessorize. I wore a brown belt to accent the warm color of the army green tank top! I also wore a Buton bracelet with bright colored buttons to stand out.
Don't forget to join our giveaway on Instagram for your chance to win a $50 gift card to The Plant Foundry and a $50 gift card to RIRE!

See you next week!
Happy Monday everyone! This week we are introducing a new themed blog post, this week's theme is date night! What is your go-to date night look? Are you a bit more edgy and go for that all black look, or are you more on the flirty side and not afraid to show some skin? Let's check out each of these lovely ladies styles down below!
Spontaneous or planned date nights are always nice to spend that extra time with your special someone. Whether its a concert in the park or a fancy dinner date downtown, having a reason to get dressed up is always fun for us ladies. I went for more of a summer casual date night look.
I love this fitted black skirt, it has a knotted detail in the waist that is more flattering for my silhouette. I paired the skirt with a vibrant pink tank top. The tank is versatile and has a super soft fabrication. I tucked the top into the skirt to pull the outfit together. For the final touch to this date night look I accessorized with a boho style statement necklace. I kept it casual with a cute pair of strappy sandals.
I would wear this outfit to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. After great conversation and yummy food, we would walk over to United Artist to catch the latest movie to end the night.
Date night is upon us! With this theme in mind, I immediately thought of a fun scenario: meeting someone new at the co-op, while not looking your best (Yoga pants and messy bun, yikes!). It's the night of your first date, and since you almost blew it during the first encounter, it's time to wow this person!
I went for this gorgeous blush colored ribbed jumpsuit. This piece is sure to turn heads and possibly stop traffic! Since it's so fabulous on its own, I decided to keep the accessories simple and pair it with marble teardrop necklace, and a pair of pearl and gold circle stud earrings.
This jumpsuit is backless, just amazing strappy detail to display against my skin, so I decided to rock a pair of strappy cream colored heels to finish the look. In a bold turn of events, I decided not to wear any accessories on my wrists! This simple statement look will surely drop a jaw no matter where it's worn. Showing up fashionably late to Shady Lady in this number will basically guarantee a second date!
Since my finacé and I have been together for so long (coming up 12 years!) it's really easy for us to fall into comfortable clothes and not fuss about how we look when we get dinner. We're also not great cooks so we eat out quite often. It's fun and special to us that we periodically dress up for a special date night.
For this look I went for a sweet outfit with our off the shoulder red striped dress. The neat thing about this dress is you can wear it off the shoulder, on your shoulders, or on one shoulder! Since it's sunny and warm I wanted to let my shoulders out. I kept my makeup natural but with filled in my brows (thanks Andrea) and with the help of my banging lashes (thanks Sarah) it draws the focus to my eyes.
For jewelry I kept it in silver tones. I opted for fun statement earrings and a simple disc detailed necklace. This look is completed with fun sandals with a short block heel making it comfortable to go from dinner at Mother to games and drinks at Coin Op.
One of my favorite little things, date nights! Date nights for my fiancé and I are so important, quality time together is something we both cherish and fight for. Plus, it gives me a reason to dress up and look cute!
For my date night outfit I chose this adorable off the shoulder midi dress. It’s perfect because it could be for a special dinner out with the flirty off the shoulder, or could easily be transitioned into a more casual date night walking around downtown Sacramento, all you have to do is put on some flats instead of a wedged shoe or clog! I think the hat is perfect for both nights because it gives the outfit a little more detail and spunk. Hats are one of my favorite ways to give your outfit a little extra something.
For the accessories, since the dress has a gray striped pattern, I chose a tan hat and gold jewelry to tie it all together. If you wanted to opt for silver jewelry, I would choose a black hat instead just so the colors would mesh well together. Yay for love, and yay for date nights!
It's time for date night! It is the night where you get to dress up in your favorite outfit and spend some alone time with that special someone. Since I dress so casual on a regular basis, I get so excited for date night because I get to dress up and wear something I don't normally wear. Time to put those heels on, get your nails done, and spend some extra time on your hair and makeup!
To dress up and go for a classy look I went with a gorgeous pink floral shift dress with fun flowy sleeves! With the beautiful floral print, you feel extra feminine with a touch of sophistication. This dress is so elegant that it will definitely set the mood for romance! I also really appreciate that it is more on the conservative side, the dress hits just above the knee and past your finger tips along with a higher cut neckline.
Now, for the finishing touches that will complete this look and send you out on a night you won't forget! To bring out the pink out in the floral dress, I added a long pink necklace. With most shift dresses that don't naturally have much shape to them, I always add a long necklace! It helps give the dress a center and will compliment your figure. For shoes, you can either go with a black, nude, or gold heel. However, since this dress is already so dressed up on it's own, you can always go for a simple flat to make you more comfortable. You are now ready for a romantic dinner date and stroll under the stars!
Warm summer nights are finally here, making any day the perfect time for date nights! I love getting dressed up with my boyfriend and going out for a night of fun. I wanted to go for a bold flirty look so I paired a black tank bodysuit with a vibrant red skirt!
The bodysuit is super comfy and perfectly hugs my body, complimenting my shape very nicely. On the other hand, the skirt is very flowy which allows me to move around however I want. These two paired together make a great contrasted duo!
I finished this fun outfit with a white and gold layered necklace. Since my outfit pieces were so bold with their colors I decided to go with lighter colored jewelry because I felt it would stand out more. My date would start off with a movie at the Studio Movie Grill then make my way back for a yummy dinner at Iron Horse Tavern. This outfit puts me in a dancing mood so then we would end our day at a night club for some drinks and dancing!
Love is in the air and it's time to look your best. Try different styles until you find the one that makes you feel beautiful!
