Apple Hill is officially open and to celebrate and get you hyped we have put together six outfits for spending the day at one of the most beautiful places in less than one hours drive of Sacramento. We are taking a hint from the chilly weather and changing of leaves that you'll see up there for all of these inspired looks. For more information on Apple Hill, check out their website here.
What better way to soak in the new season of fall than going to Apple Hill? All the cider, apples, and fun will definitely get you ready for all the exciting festivities this season has to bring!
I stepped away from my usual style of tank tops and wore a striped rust button up shirt! The colors of this top is perfect for the occasion and just screams fall vibes. Stripes never go out of style and the green and white accent the overall rust color of this top making it a perfect match. You can never go wrong with jeans so I wore my favorite pair of distressed dark denim jeans!
I accessorized simple and wore a brown bouton bracelet with warm colors. Since my hair was up in a ponytail I threw on some fun brown bead hoop earrings since they would be more visible! They definitely added more excitement to my overall look! The whole color scheme of my outfit was warm and made me feel cozy which is ideal for me especially in the colder seasons! With this complete outfit I'm so ready for all the food and photos to be taken at Apple Hill!
This weeks blog theme is all about Apple Hill... everyone's favorite fall time day adventure! Lets be honest, there's something about this place that kicks off fall and gives us all the right feels. There's something so exciting and nostalgic about the endless rows of colorful trees, the fresh air, the festive treats galore, and lets just point out that the apples even taste crisper. No, I'm not describing a Hallmark movie, this is real life and its only 45 minutes away!
For my Apple Hill outfit I chose our new mauve pullover sweater paired with our new grey ribbed knit sweater dress over it. I was obsessed with this dress from first sight. I love it! It has a nice heavy weight to it with great coverage and it just feels super well made! The two front pockets are such cute added details and you can put all your treats in them! The Mauve pullover is also another great item that we currently have stocked, its very light weight and ridiculously soft. This sweater is a great item for layering!
I chose to wear one of our customizable button necklaces with my outfit. These are really cool because you can swap out the center button for a different styled one as much as you want. I chose a pearly white stone for mine today. I topped off my styled look with a taupe chunky knitted scarf to achieve a total fall filled look! These scarves are awesome because they are so thick and and also locally made! I hope that you enjoyed this weeks Apple Hill styled look!
The theme for this week is Apple Hill!! With fall knocking at our doors, everyone is making their way up to Placerville for the season's festivities and treats!
I immediately thought of a cozy style with a forgiving waistline, for all the goodies I plan to eat! So I went with a mauve raw hem sweater, stretchy high waisted jeans, and a lightweight camo jacket. Layers is the name of the game this time of year! I chose silver accessories to accentuate the sparkle details in the sweater material. I went with a delicate layered silver necklace, silver hammered hoop earrings, a chain toggle bouton l bracelet, and silver aviator sunglasses.
With this look, I'm ready to hang out at one of my favorite places for fall, from the afternoon until sunset! Bring on those melt in your mouth apple donuts!! And I'll take a pie to go!
It's officially Fall! If you live near Sacramento, one of the favorite fall bucket list items is heading up to Apple Hill. Every year I get super excited to put on my autumn attire and try out apple flavored everything. The cool mornings easily trick me into thinking its *actual* fall weather and I quickly realize how hot it really is. This year I think I'll be layering to make sure I can shed some clothing pieces when the temperatures hit the upper 80's!
When I prep myself for the Fall months wardrobe-wise, I make sure I always have a jean jacket handy. They pair well with pretty much any outfit and go with a majority of colors, depending on the wash. I threw one on over our pocket tee in white and loved the combo with our rust color shorts.
My favorite cheat code to use during this game of transition season weather is wearing summer clothes in autumn colors.
Fall brings so many fun things and activities to do, one in which is hugely popular in the Sacramento region, Apple Hill! I grew up in Northern California where we just went to our towns small pumpkin patch. I recently went to Apple Hill for my first time last year and it was so much fun! Such a different experience from that small town patch. There's really what seems like endless activities you can do there and eat your way through it all. And of course, with fall activities brings being able to dress up for them! Let's be real, that's the best part.
For my Apple Hill Outfit, I wanted something comfortable because you spend a lot of time walking around, but I still wanted it to be super cute and reflect the changing season. I chose this adorable floral dress. The rust color is the perfect match for the season and the floral pattern is perfectly muted to transition into the season. It can sometimes get a little chilly up there in the mountains so I paired it with this adorable corduroy jacket with a fun pop of wool on the collar. The lighter color corduroy pairs well with the rust in the jacket without being too similar.
To accessorize it I wanted to keep it simple. I didn't want a million pieces of jewelry on me. I chose to do these super fun statement earrings that stand out all by themselves and don't need any help. I wanted earrings instead of a necklace just because there's already so much happening with the dress itself I didn't want to overwhelm it. Pair it with a cute pair of clogs or mules and you're ready to spend the day at Apple Hill! Happy Fall Ya'll!
If you're a Sacramento native and you've never been to Apple Hill then you're missing out! Do us all a favor (including yourself) and head up as soon as you can! Right now it's perfect to go because it's not as crowded as it will be in October/November, so you can really relax and connect with yourself and nature. For this week's look I went for a vintage inspired look that barrows colors from nature.
Since it can get quite chilly at Apple Hill I went for this all cotton midi skirt in olive green. The pockets are a life saver so you can easily hold your phone and card without having to lug around a heavy purse all day. To add a bit of contrast I went with this mauve striped blouse. The bell sleeves add style and warmth.
Since this outfit has a bit going out with the buttons, tie, stripes, and bell sleeves I kept my jewelry very minimal. I went with this dark moon necklace. I think it pulls the colors from the top and skirt just perfectly! When you're spending all day at Apple Hill you want to be minimal with jewelry because your hands will get sticky from caramel apples! I also finished my look with brown ankle booties, so if I step on any mud it'll just blend in! ;)
Thank you for visiting us this week! We hope you enjoyed our Apple Hill inspired outfits!
Have fun apple picking and enjoy those pies!
Every once in a while we get something in where we just have to order ALL THE COLORS. This waffle knit top is one of those things. It's a long sleeved version of the popular spring top that you probably saw around town. The soft fabric will have you constantly grabbing it from your closet to wear. The buttons and split side hem keep it versatile, so you can style it different ways. We have classic black, dark night blue, and plum brown - all colors perfect for your fall look!
Hello! I'm super excited for my first week back for Styled by RIRE! I'm loving this week's SBR because this time of year comes with the early morning hustle and bustle of getting my kindergartner to school. I've been pinning "athleisure outfits" in hopes to get a few ideas of how I can throw on an easy and comfortable look in the morning other than my usual workout pants and a tee I stole from my boyfriend. A comfy outfit that still looks pulled together is my favorite kind of outfit, and our Waffle Knit Top is super versatile so that you can take it from lounge wear to brunch-wear with little effort.
Although I'll most likely be wearing our Waffle Knit Top with leggings and Birkenstocks, I decided to dress the top up a bit for our SBR since there's so many options to pair it with! I went with a black fitted distressed denim skirt since it's still high 80's in Sacramento, and tied a front knot to make the Waffle Knit Top a bit more fitted. Being a tad bit curvy, I love to indulge in billowy tops but sometimes it's more flattering to accentuate the waist.
I've been a crazy hat lady for the past 3 years or so, so pairing a hat with this outfit was a no-brainer! My hair is usually pretty flat and if I don't have the energy to blow dry, fluff, and tease, it's definitely a hat day. Plus, hats are one of my favorite fall accessories to add to an outfit that easily takes it from basic to blog-worthy. For the final touch, I added a pretty feather-print neckerchief to tie this whole look together.
This waffle knit top is my new favorite thing! Featured in several colors, I styled my look in my signature: black! The oversized fit and lightweight fabric makes for a versatile and cozy style.
I paired the top with black waist tie trousers, and purple and gold accessories. I wanted an off the shoulder look with a waist tie, so I added a pop of color with a purple lace bralette. Since scrunchies are making a huge comeback, I added a purple velvet one to my hair for a royal feel!
I continued to jazz up my look with gold hammered hoop earrings, layered gold necklaces, a purple glitter hair tie as a bracelet, and black and gold shades. This look is great for Gather Thursdays in Oak Park, an evening cocktail at La Venadita, or a show at the Blue Lamp!
This week we chose to showcase our popular long sleeve waffle stitch shirt. This top is extremely comfortable and can be worn a TON of different ways! Its a super light weight knit with a row of functional buttons all down the front. It can even be adorned with a cute tie at the bottom or if you wanted to wear it as a thin open sweater that's another great option. This top can be worn with yoga pants or dressed up with jeans, the options are endless and this is a great basic to have in your wardrobe.
I decided to style this plum brown waffle knit top into a casual look with a gray tank and a pair of dark wash cropped jeans. We offer this top in three colors: purple, navy, and black, I chose the purple one for my look. I liked the idea of wearing a tank and adding a light layer with the purple waffle stitch top by wearing it unbuttoned like a sweater. A good way to make an outfit exciting is by adding layers of different colors or textures to add interest. The denim that I chose is a dark wash with frayed detailing at the bottoms. I like these jeans because they are soft and stretchy which give the wearer a relaxed look and a comfortable fit. These jeans have a shorter inseam and ended up looking like cropped jeans on me.
The accessories that I chose to go with this outfit were minimal because of the laid back look I was going for. I chose a pair of dainty gold micro hoops and a gold double necklace. The minimal evil eye necklace is one of my favorites that we have in stock right now, I just love what it symbolizes and Its also a bit unusual. I also chose to accessorize my denim jeans with a cream colored belt. Belts are a great way to dress up your denim while also keeping a casual vibe.
This waffle knit top will become your favorite piece in your closet for fall! It is so versatile and not to mention so comfortable. Fall fashion is so fun and it's always a bonus when your clothes are comfortable because it makes you feel so warm and cozy.
For my outfit I chose the black waffle knit top and paired it with this super fun yellow suede skirt. The silver belt loop on the skirt pairs perfectly with the black top and the two materials play well off of each other. This top is fun because you can keep it buttoned all the way down or you can do what I chose to do and tie it into a little knot in the front. It kind of makes it feel like a brand new shirt, which is always a double bonus.
To accessorize this outfit I kept it pretty simple with this adorable silver necklace. It accents the silver belt loop perfectly. It's all fun!
The leaves are starting to turn color here in Sacramento and to celebrate fall just being around the corner I decided to pair this ~dark night~ waffle knit with this toffee dolman top. Fall is my favorite season and this year I'm very excited for all the yellow and orange hues! Navy and orange are great together, so I knew right away I wanted to pair these off beat versions.
I paired this look with light grey pants since the toffee and knit top were such bold colors I didn't want to add more blue with denim jeans or darken it with black jeans. I adorned my wavy hair with one of our new knotted headbands. I thought the yellow and houndstooth pattern would be a fun compliment to the other colors! Since it's a small accessory it didn't overwhelm with too much color.
This look is simple but so fun with all the colors, I really think you can wear this anywhere! I would definitely wear this to work and then to dinner afterwards. I completed the look with brown ankle booties but you can even dress it down further with sneakers!
Thank you for stopping by!
We hope you enjoyed this week's Styled By RIRE!
See ya next week!

It really should not be a surprise to most people that I am such a fan girl with Square since they've helped me launch my business and grow. They even featured me in a Square Story (yes, that is my own horrible hand writing and drawings)! I follow them on social media, read their newsletters, visit their blog, and have gone to their headquarters in San Francisco for their speaker events. Online and in person I see a lot of people that do not use Square to it's full potential! It's really powerful once you delve deeper than taking "custom amount" payments. Here are all the services I use from Square and why they are critical to helping me run my business.
Square Payroll & Square Payroll App
Square Employee Management
If you have employees then this is also a MUST! By creating employee accounts you can decide what they can access on the Register. This includes allowing them to process refunds or take mobile payments. Before Employee Management my staff processed sales under my one account and since I didn't have a formal way of tracking time cards it was on the honor system.
With Employee Management each member of your team gets their own unique code. This allows them to run sales under their own name. Some benefits to this:
Square Online Store
By processing your sales on the Online Store Square will also continue to track your sales and give you analytics on what items and categories are selling best for you. This was an issue for me when I was using other e-commerce sites, everything would show up as a "custom amount" and sometimes tax was lumped into the price of the item (accounting nightmare).
It's also pretty mobile friendly and check-out is a breeze for your customers. Your customer's gift cards (the ones from Square) can be used on there and it even includes a page for eGift Cards! Another nifty feature is in store pick up. I imagine this was originally intended for coffee shops/cafes but I've had multiple customers use this. They will make a purchase in the morning and we will pack everything up for them and they'll swing by after work to pick up their purchase.
For my business we post on our blog weekly with outfit ideas. Once a month or so I'll create a newsletter type of email with our outfit ideas and link to the items in my Online Site... see where we're headed? It's all connecting. Now I'm giving my customers outfit inspirations, reminding them we're here, and linking to our new items to make sales while we're closed.
In the Marketing section it even tells you attributable sales which is the total number of in-store transactions made by customers who viewed one of your email campaigns and made a purchase within 14 days (tracked by credit card, email receipt, or loyalty). And when you send out promo codes it tells you your net sales and redemption ALONG with attributable sales.
I hope this post was informative and that it'll help you discover Square's other products. If you do not have a Square account you can sign up on their site: square.com or use my referral link and get free processing on your first $1k in sales.
If you have any questions about Square or their products feel free to comment or shoot me an email and I'll be happy to help! Thanks for stopping by!
