Hello friends! We're back this week for another Styled by RIRE! The holidays seem to be flying by already and we wanted to say thank you to those who are choosing to shop small this season! And also a shout out to mother nature for giving Sacramento this amazing shopping weather, am I right? One of the great things about living here is the versatile weather and endless options of outfits to go along with it.
This week we styled our Black Velvet T-Shirt Dress! See what we came up with below!
Velvet is making a come back this season and it's perfect to wear around the holidays. Whether you wear it for a casual look or dress it up for a holiday party, our Velvet T-shirt Dress is a versatile piece that you'll be ale to wear throughout the fall/winter seasons.
You're going to adore the velvety smooth fabrication against your skin, I cinched the waist by accessorizing with a wide belt. The belt added a little bit of edge to the look with its lace-up detailing. The weather has definitely cooled down in Sacramento, so bundle up with the cozy over sized jacket.
Add the finishing touch by wearing a pearl charm choker for a night on the town and a comfy pair of thigh high boots.
I am loving the velvety fabrics this season! It's an easy way to be a little dressy without much effort at all. This faux velvet dress is perfect for the holidays since you can further elevate it with shiny jewelry! I love how it's also flowy, making it perfect for Christmas dinner. ;)
I paired this dress with a simple beaded layer necklace. I loved the way it stood against the crushed velvet material! The dress would look really nice with a statement piece too.
For reference, I am 5 ft 5 in tall and the dress is slightly on the short side for me. However, I would be comfortable to wear this all day if I had tights, tall boots, or layered it with a long cardigan or jacket.
Hello!! For this week's item I was SUPER excited to have my lovely friend Emi model for me. I was inspired by the upcoming holiday parties & I love the combo of a T-shirt style dress + velvet!
I really wanted to highlight the velvet texture so I styled Emi in our super cute pink moto fur jacket. I'm usually not into pairing black & pink together but when I added the glam pink-stoned necklace it really tied everything together!
For shoes, Emi already had some kick ass black booties but really this would also look cute with basic black heels, longer black boots, or even dark navy boots. I also liked the way the black clutch had gold features which coordinated with the necklace, and the smooth look of it also played up the differing textures.
Thanks Emi! You the real MVP!
Hello ladies! For this week's look, I styled our Black Velvet Dress with our new Leopard Moto Jacket. I'm loving how the jacket gives the t-shirt dress a fun vibe and is perfect for fall to spring whether you're going to a holiday party or out with the girls!
I paired this look with one of our new tassel necklaces, a faux fur mini satchel, and some trendy hoops we just got in stock! Even though there's not grey in the outfit, I think pairing the accessories together and matching the style of the outfit pulls this look together.
I'm really loving stackable rings right now, or just wearing multiple rings in general (I know, I know, I'm late to the game!), so I gathered a few of my favorites from our collection of rings and midi-rings that we just got in.
With the weather getting more chilly it's time to add one of our favorite winter accessories: scarves!
We are very excited to be hosting a Sip 'n Knit event with the owner of Rumpelstiltskin Yarn Store, Ciara. This intimate group will learn together to knit the perfect scarf. She'll also provide one on one guidance throughout the night.
You'll have the option to make an infinity scarf or leave the ends untied. All of the material (yarn and knitting needles) will be included so you can show up, relax and knit! No experience is required.
We'll also provide wine, hot apple cider, crackers, cheese, fruits, and nuts so you can mix and mingle while knitting. You'll also receive a 15% off promo code for your next purchase!
Seats are limited (15 max!) so hurry and order your ticket now! We have just a few seats left. The cost to join is $40, you can order your ticket here.

It's officially Thanksgiving week! Who's ready for stuffing, pie, and extra gravy? Not only are we excited for the food, but also for all of the food-baby friendly outfits to style! This week for Styled by RIRE, we'll each be showing you how we love to wear a t-shirt dress for the colder months.
See how we styled our Navy Mock Neck Dress below!
Hey ladies! I was super excited to style this dress this week because I'm a lover of basic clothing items. I pretty much live in t-shirt dresses all summer, so I was happy to take on the challenge of dressing in one for fall! Believe it or not, I picked out a few pieces quickly before we snapped some shots of my look. I'm definitely not one to be super stylish all the time, but I found this dress very easy to dress up and feel cute in!
To make this look trendy, I paired some tassel earrings and one of my favorite jackets we recently started carrying. I own a pair of these earrings and I'm OBSESSED with them! They take a regular outfit up about 5 notches while also making feel like I didn't try hard at all. And to let you in on a little secret: Bauble Bar carries a similar pair, but you can snag yours while also shopping small at RIRE for Small Business Saturday this weekend!
This would be a look I would wear to a Friendsgiving, Christmas shopping if the weather isn't too bad, or even a park date with my little girl! I topped off this look with some casual sneakers and a hat, because sometimes even dry shampoo doesn't cut it.
When thinking of winter you don't typically think of wearing skater dresses, but depending on how you style the dress it can be winter appropriate. This week's Styled by RIRE is the mock neck skater dress in the on-trend navy color. It's a lightweight knit fabrication that can easily be layered to create that perfect winter look.
I styled the skater dress by layering a cozy knit sweater in classic greige (grey+beige!) over it. The sweater features a buttery soft thick fabric that is ideal for curling up by the fire on cold winter night. If you would like, you can layer a pair of tights under your dress for some extra warmth. ( I forgot mine at home lol).
I've mentioned before that boots are a seasonal favorite of mine and I paired this look with my thigh high black boots with a thick heel for a color contrast. To pull the look altogether, I accessorized with a gold circle necklace with a black stone accent to go with the boots. On rainy days or bad hair days top your look off with a cute wool floppy hat. Now you're ready for brunch with the girls or a casual lunch date.
I really like this weeks item, I actually have 3 different Navy dresses so styling the featured item this week was really fun & inspiring! Since the dress has a unique mock-neck I wanted to highlight it with a really cool necklace. I didn't want anything too long to highlight the neck-line.
After I saw the dress with the necklace, I thought it would be cool to add one of our colorful fair-trade scarves, especially since they have dangly fabric on the ends! I love how it looks with the silver & wine colors mixing and poking through. Since it's been so sunny out I wanted to add a wide-brim hat, it also adds a little bit of warmth along with our faux fur jacket.
This dress is a really comfortable fit & material so I would definitely wear it to dinner & a movie ;)
Sacramento weather has been all over the place! We were literally in shorts a week and a half ago, then it got chilly and rainy, and of course the sun decides to make a guest appearance. Luckily, this week's item is perfect for the roller coaster weather we get to enjoy each season!
I kept it really simple since this time of year can be really chaotic with running around for the holidays. The mock neck style is on-trend and pretty flattering. I typically don't like things so close to my neck but this was not an issue and really comfortable. The sleeves are also welcome for chillier days.
I added a long silver Y necklace. The dainty style is one of my favorites and it added just enough to elevate the dress from "basic" to "A for effort." I went for an edgy moto jacket to offset the girly silhouette of the dress (as I mentioned I love combining styles!). I finished the look with my favorite black low ankle booties. I know high ankle booties are more trendy this season but I just can't let these babies go!
I was surprised how much I loved this dress when I put it on. It's really comfortable and I felt really confident in it! I highly recommend it during this holiday season and beyond!
