Savana as Dancer Emoji Girl 💃
Spooky season is finally here and Halloween is just around the corner! My favorite holiday of the year and I'm ready to be festive! Can you guess what idea I was inspired by? Yup, you guessed it, the fiesta emoji girl!
This red ruffle dress is perfect for dressing up for the holiday! I feel fancy yet festive to step out for a Halloween party. All night long this dress will for sure keep me comfortable with its soft material. So ideal for a long crazy night Halloween might have in store!
You can't wear a dress without adding some bling to it! So I put on a super sparkly rhinestone necklace, and boy, do I feel fancy!! I ended my outfit with silver hoops cause who doesn't love hoops? This costume was so simple to put together but will for sure be an eye catcher!
Sarah L. as Sandy From Grease
My favorite time of the year is here! When I was figuring out what outfit to put together for a costume, I was first looking for something funny/maybe even scary-ish. If we were in the world of Meal Girls, I would be Katy as the dead bride. But after some Pinterest and Google searches, I decided on Sandy from Grease! If I were to have to throw an outfit together last minute, wearing all black would be the easiest to either pull from my closet or pop into the boutique and find the perfect top and bottoms.
I already had a black pair of jeans, but I knew this off the shoulder ruffle top would be the perfect piece to my Sandy Costume. It has long sleeves for the chilly evening and its fitted style is right up Sandy's ally. This is also a top that I know would be a great staple in my closet. There's nothing that drives me more bonkers than buying something for one day and then it sits in my closet collecting dust forever. Also, as an adult I can't imagine spending so much on a cheaply made costume just for one night!
For accessories, I added our jeweled stretchy waist belt and some black pumps. I really love the belt with this look because it adds just a pop of glam the outfit needed. For the final touch I put on a little lipstick and some sassy attitude ;) Happy Halloween! #GhoulsRule
Jourdan as Debbie From The Wild Thornberrys
I'm taking it back to the 90's! I decided to dress as Debbie from The Wild Thornberrys! I love her because she is so sassy and a bit edgy, my favorite combination! Her personality shines through with her outfit, the creators designed a look to help form a clearer picture of her character. I was excited to dress as her because this is definitely an outfit I would wear myself!
Debbie has the classic "I don't care" look with her over-sized plaid shirt and jeans. Yet she still shows off her curves by showing some skin with a tight orange crop top. To match her style, I used an orange bralette with a new green plaid shirt we just got in. This shirt is awesome because it is actually lined with a soft fuzzy material, for sure to keep you warm!
The final piece to her look are blue over-sized distressed jeans. Although they aren't quite as baggy as Debbie's (I don't know how her pants stay up), I used a pair of boyfriend jeans that look very similar. Next all you need to do is add the lips, hair, and attitude, then you're ready for a fun Halloween with some great friends!
Sarah R. as Lydia Deetz From Beetlejuice
Did someone say Halloween?! October has always been one of my favorite months because of the holiday. As I've gotten older my costumes have definitely gotten lamer, but that's one of the best parts about being a mom- I get to dress my kid up and live vicariously through her! Luckily for me I have a fun job that allows me to join in on the festivities, otherwise I'd probably be recycling the same cat ears over and over again. I chose to style my outfit around Lydia Deetz from Beetlejuice. Who doesn't love Winona Ryder?! She's perfect.
Obviously to have any sort of semblance to Lydia this outfit has to have a lot of black. How fitting for me! It's my color of choice and what I feel best in. To me, there's nothing more chic than an all black outfit. I chose these cropped wide leg pants with a tight fitting top tucked in. I love that the pants are so wide they almost look like a skirt. They are also SO comfortable which is a huge plus, especially if you're going to be out and about on Halloween. I've had cumbersome costumes in the past and I'm just not here for that! The faux leather detailing on the waist of the pants helps break up the black and gives the outfit fun texture.
I tend to run away from anything tight fitting around my neck because it makes me feel like I'm choking, but this top is very soft and stretchy. Again, super comfy! I find the high neck to be very flattering and warm. This shirt also comes in white, camel, and hunter green if black isn't your thing. I sorta want them all! Such a nice basic for the Fall and Winter.
A wide brimmed hat was the iconic accessory Lydia sported in Beetlejuice, so I couldn't skip out on this pretty little felt number. Every time I throw a hat on I instantly feel put together. It's like having a good pair of jeans, but for your head! This is what completed the outfit for me.
I chose a couple dainty black rings and a black feather as finishing touches on the outfit. The gold detailing on the feather adds a little bit of sparkle, which I love. If you decide to rock something similar on Halloween, I would suggest painting your nails black too!
Kate as Jessie James Decker
Happy Halloween! I've never been the biggest participator in Halloween, looking back growing up it makes me laugh because I was so painfully shy that I could never go up to people's door to get candy, so my brother would have to do it for me while I just stood on the sidewalk with my parents waiting for him to be done. Once I got to the age of like 8 my mom finally stopped dressing me up because she knew it scared me so bad to go out haha so I've stayed home and handed out candy ever since.
But since this weeks looks are inspired by Halloween costumes, I chose to be Jessie James Decker. If you don't know of her seriously look her up. She is one of my favorite people to follow, to look up to for fashion, home, and lifestyle. Her family is the sweetest and she is also a singer, so there's pretty nothing she can't do. Her style is probably one of my favorite things about her. She has a way of making her every day style so effortless and so chic at the same time. She also rocks a good flat brim hat all the time which is one of my favorite things to do. I chose to copy of her most recent photo shoots for her new line. I chose these fun rust flowy pants, and paired it with a tight black shirt.
To accessorize it I of course chose a flat brim hat and Jessie is short just like me and always rocks a heel of some kind. I paired my outfit with a fun bootie. She usually doesn't rock too much jewelry so I stuck with a simple gold necklace.. because gold jewelry runs my life. And that's it! Hope you all have a fun and safe Halloween!
Josie as Lara Jean From To All The Boys I've Loved Before
If you haven't seen To All The Boys I've Loved on Netflix yet, then you gotta! It's adorable and fun and the main character, Lara Jean, has the cutest outfits. I went for her back to school look because I like how laid back and ready for fall it is. Since it's still quite warm in Sacramento (go figure) it was an added benefit that the outfit had shorts for staying cool and a layered button up for when the sun sets.
Another reason I went with this outfit is because it's pretty close to my own style. I like layering tops with button ups and knotting them. This button up will be great if you go out on Halloween night because it's sherpa lined, so it's very warm! I wanted to roll up the sleeves to show off the scrunchie (I know she wears one in her hair) but in the movie her favorite scrunchie causes some drama!
The burgundy socks completes the look and connects it with the green plaid button up. These shoes might not be vintage like Lara Jean's but they so comfortable and fun! I loved the extra height they gave me! All that is needed is a brown backpack to hold all your essentials and your own Peter Kavinsky!
Ashley as Baby Spice
Ah, yes! Finally, Halloween is just a week away, so in honor of that we decided to feature a styled by RIRE Halloween costume edition. I chose to style a Baby Spice costume. I must confess that I've been living by the "Spice up your life" motto since like 6th grade. I was always more of a Ginger type girl but I think since I'm actually "preggers" at the moment a Baby Spice look would be more appropriate and equally funny. Halloween is always an extra fun time where you get a free pass to dress up as something your not or something that you think you couldn't normally pull off on the daily, it's a chance to be over the top, so that's what I did!
Baby Spice was super girly and dressed child like with her pastel baby-doll dresses, platform boots and sky high pig tails. For my costume I chose our baby pink midi dress, and giant fuzzy coat. Baby pink was Baby Spices "color" so that actually worked perfectly and the dress looks really sweet and girly. I love the length of the dress as well as the cool ripply texture of the fabric. It features a bardot styled top with a cut out keyhole in the front which feels so sassy and world tour worthy! Now lets talk about that giant fuzzy coat, its amazing, and "SO Spice Girly!" I mean every bad ass girl needs a coat like this, it screams "I've Arrived!" Whats really neat about this fun sherpa style coat is that its actually reversible so either color (the brown or cream) can be featured to your liking. The coat also has pockets on both sides so you wont loose pocket space either, not to mention that its soft as hell!
I chose to accessorize my outfit with a choker necklace and Baby Spices signature sky high pig tails. The black necklace is super posh with a cute moveable diamond pendant and comes with matching gold stud earrings. For the hair style I used our cute sparkly rubber bands for my pop star hair doo, they are only $1 each which is stellar and come in all kinds of colors. I hope that you enjoyed my interpretation of Baby Spice!

Looking for something to do before Halloween night? Check out all of these events happening in Midtown and Oak Park! The below list and photos provided by the Midtown Association.
Movie dates are one of the best go-to date ideas! I really like them because it could be your first date, or you could go with someone you've been married to for years. It's the perfect date for every stage in a relationship. Now, let's check out how the girls styled their outfits down below! Do you go all out, or like to keep it comfy and casual?
Sarah L.'s Style
October is one of my favorite months in the entire year, not only because of Halloween but because I get nostalgic about the month my boyfriend and I met. Plus I don't think I'm alone when I say this time of year feels like "date night season." Whether you're headed to the pumpkin patch or going to the movies to watch a scary flick, there's so much to do with your boo or your girlfriends!
With the theme of this week being Movie Date, I chose an outfit that was both stylish but also comfortable. To be honest, my usual "movie theater attire" consists of sweats, a cozy top, and an extra large purse for snacks. ;) But if it's a special night like an anniversary, I would definitely dress it up like this! I paired our flowy teal culottes with a loose fitting tank and I'm especially fond of how well these pants fit! They hit at the perfect spot on my waist and don't squeeze to create any weird bulges the non-stretchy pants tend to make on me usually. I also tied a knot in the tank to accentuate my waist. This is my favorite trick with looser fitting tops to instantly take off a few pounds!
To pull this look together I put on a denim jacket. This is the perfect time of year for jean jackets because at 2 pm it might feel like summer still but by 7 pm, you're freezing. I put on a size large to have a more oversized fit; I like to be as comfy as possible at the movies because after all, I'm here to watch a movie and stuff my face with popcorn and milk duds
Fall and winter are perfect months to go to the movies to me. I feel like there's always great movies to choose from and you get to cuddle up next to your loved one and watch a great movie together. Also if you haven't seen 'A Star is Born' yet, go and watch it as soon as possible! Seriously, so good.
Usually when we do a movie date we either get dinner before and then hit up a dessert place afterwards so I always like to dress up for it. Any reason to get dressed up, I'll take it. I also still want to be comfortable though because you are sitting for quite a while usually. I chose this adorable long floral and stripe dress. It is so extremely comfortable and is very easy to move around in. Movie theaters are always freezing cold to me so I made sure to pair it with a leather jacket to keep me warm.
For accessories, I kept it very simple. I paired it with a cute pair of little gold hoops. For shoes I wanted something that was easily to slip on and off and keep my feet comfortable so a cute little flat was perfect for this! Happy date night!
Sarah R.'s Style
I don't get many date nights anymore (Mom life), but when I do I try to dress up a little. I'm sure my poor guy is tired of seeing me in leggings and sweatpants! I know I'm tired of it, so this week's theme was fun for me!
I'm a sucker for ruffles and burgundy. I love this dress because it's flowy and comfortable, which is a plus if you eat too much on your night out because it will hide your food baby! The ruffle keeps it feminine and the keyhole detail on the back adds a little flirty-ness. The fabric is great because it's breathable and not too heavy, but is cozy like your favorite sweatshirt.
With the weather being slightly more chilly at night a denim jacket adds enough warmth without being too heavy. The distressed look of this one adds some edge to the outfit and balances with the ruffle on the dress nicely.
Since my outfit was sorta plain I really wanted to play up my accessories. I went for some big statement earrings and a pendant necklace. I normally wouldn't go for earrings as loud as these, but they're too fun to pass up! The marble detailing on both these pieces is very on trend right now. If I can't have marble counter tops, at least I can have it in my jewelry.
It's date night and I'm going to the movies! The first thing I thought of is how cold the theater always is! So I heated things up with my look.
I went with grey mid rise jeans, and a cranberry cropped sweater. A simple look that I decided to jazz up a little. With grey and cranberry in mind, I wanted to mix up my neutrals as well as add some rose gold to the equation.
I went with a toffee belt, sand open toed heels, and a rose gold pendant necklace and rose gold hoop earrings. I played around with yellow gold as well, adding gold aviator shades with rose gold mirror lenses, and 2 gold bangles. This look is ready for a movie, and dinner or drinks to follow after the show. Simple and subtly sassy was the theme, and the way to go on date night! Let the show begin!
Movie night is one of my favorite dates! Whenever my husband and I finally get a night together but don't know what to do, we always check what's playing in the theater nearby!
When we have been with someone for a while, we often start choosing comfort over style, especially when going to the movies. However, there is a way to still "wow" that special someone, while staying nice and comfy! These pants are a great example of just that! They are an eye-catching red color with a trendy striped design. But the best part... they have a thicker sheer material that is a little warmer and super easy to move around in! Yes, these are the perfect lounging pants, yet they're also somehow crazy cute?!
Since movie theaters are usually cold, a long sleeve is a must-have! But once again, we don't have to completely sacrifice style for comfort. The long sleeve I chose is also off-the-shoulder to add a flirty element into my look! This top comes in both mustard and black, but I used the black one to help pull that same color out in the striped pants.
Finally, to complete this look I decided to add large statement earrings. It gives you the illusion of wearing a lot of jewelry and dressing up, when in reality you are only wearing earrings! There you have it, a super easy three-piece outfit that will impress that special someone, while you also stay nice and comfy for your movie!
There's something so romantic about the Silver Screen, the enchanting stories, the beautiful actors and actresses with the wittiest dialogues, the flawless fashion, and the best part is that it will only cost you $11.50 to escape your own life for a couple hours! Movie theater date nights have been a popular destination for love birds since the dawn of Cinema. My Husband and I love, love movie date nights and enjoy visiting the older theaters likes the Tower and The State, there's nothing better than their vintage charm and the nostalgic feeling you get from visiting! I grew up watching all the old classics on Turner Classic Movies with my dad so I have a great appreciation for black & white and Tricolor films and for the greats like Humphrey Bogart, Carry Grant, Ingrid Bergman, and of course Betty Davis.
My Movie Date Night style is probably different than most, I like to dress the part just like any other date night. The outfit that I styled for this weeks theme has a vintage/masculine feel. I chose our emerald green chenille sweater and wore it with a pair of our gray plaid trouser pants. This chenille Sweater is probably the softest sweater that I have ever worn, It feels like melted butter against your skin and the color is a beautiful jewel toned emerald hue.
The menswear styled trousers are my favorite item from this styled look though! These pants feature a very flattering plaid print in an equally flattering wide leg silhouette. They are made of 100 percent itch-less polyester and have a nice thick and heavy weight to them which is great for the Holiday Season that's soon approaching.
For my accessories I chose to go minimal since the boldness of the colors and patterns were already pretty striking. I ended up picking a long gold chain necklace with a green and brown malachite pendant at the bottom. Some of our customers don't know this but a nice variety of our necklaces are sold as a set with matching earrings. The necklace that I chose was actually one of the ones that came with matching earrings and those are the gold circle ones that I wore with this outfit. $18 for both a necklace and a cute pair of matching earrings is quite a deal in my opinion. So here is my movie date night styled look with a nod to the classics with the vintage patterns and rich textures I hope that you enjoyed it!

See ya next week!
What better way to start fall off right than with some fresh fruits and veggies from the farmers market! When shopping at your typical supermarket, you will often find food that has been out for days and are starting to go bad. However, at your local farmers market, you will find food that isn't only super fresh, yummy, and full of nutrients, but they're also free from all those nasty chemicals that stores use to keep your food "fresh." We encourage you to choose a healthier lifestyle and support local farmers near you! Oak Park's farmers market will be open every Saturday until October 27th, hope to see you there!
Now that the weather has leveled out around the mid 70's we can enjoy all sorts of activities outside while actually wearing layers! YAY! One of the most fun things to do in Sacramento this time of year is visiting our farmers markets for fresh produce, flowers, artisan goods, and cool crafty items! I feel like dressing up to go the the farmers market is just as fun as actually going. I mean it would practically be a crime to go without a cute "farmers market outfit" and equally chic shopping tote. Did that sound like a total Californian thing to say?...haha since we live smack dab in the middle of the golden state, oh well!
I chose our new floral and stripe kimono midi dress to style for the farmers market. I love this dress because it has a vintage vibe with the patterns and muted color scheme. This little number is made of a light breathable cotton blend with an added extra insert in the skirt portion which is a really nice feature! Its adorned with not one but two different sets of ties, one at the waist and one behind the neck. I can totally see myself wandering the endless rows of vendors at a farmers market in this super flattering dress, it just screams I only buy local organic produce!
For my accessories I chose a forest green Greek fisherman hat, a vintage looking tri-necklace, a marble half moon necklace, and a simple hammered gold cuff. So I'm currently obsessed with this corduroy hat! Its the prettiest green color that you have ever seen! I also love that its a bit over sized but you can adjust the size of the hat with the buckle in the back which is a lovely feature. The necklaces and cuff felt super artisan to me so that tied in perfectly to our theme this week, I usually get drawn in by anything unusual or handmade looking so naturally these were perfect!

Hey friends! One of the things I love about this time of year is the crisp cool mornings. Even if the weather plays tricks on us and reaches the eighties by the afternoon, we get to pretend it’s real Fall until about noon.
To make this outfit easy and comfortable while staying cool, I paired our corduroy skirt to keep it trendy. Adding some cute accessories really makes this outfit pop! I love collecting unique neckerchiefs to easily spice up an outfit and a hat to make getting ready even quicker.
One of the great things about Sacramento is its endless choices of activities to do around town and the farmers market is for sure at the top of the list! This week I went for a look I can rock to the farmers market and still continue to wear for the rest of the day around the city!
Since fall is settling in I decided to go with a comfy brown corduroy skirt and paired it with a navy blue tank top. I ended my outfit with a black waffle sweater that's ideal because its light and perfect for the windy days!
I accessorized simple with a studded diamond curved bar necklace and gold statement earrings. This overall look is sweet and simple especially for a day at the farmers market while still being able to get good use of this outfit at other places like brunch or the park

Are there many things better than strolling through the farmers market on a crisp Fall morning? I don't think so. For this week's outfit I kept my style cozy and very casual. I am in love with these muted rose and blush tones that have been popping up lately, so this distressed sweater is right up my alley!
As much as I'd love to throw on a pair of leggings with this mauve color raw hem sweater, I am trying really hard to break that habit this year. I always feel more polished when I put jeans on anyway. Add some cute slides and you've got a really cute outfit!
I wanted to show some versatility with this outfit, especially if its a colder day in Sacramento. Replace the long necklace for a scarf and you can keep warm without having to add the bulk of a jacket. It's almost like wearing a blanket!
Even though it's starting to get chilly, the sun is still out in full force. These rose gold aviators were perfect for my outfit and pretty much a staple in my wardrobe. I think I've mentioned before that aviators are a universally flattering style for anyone, so if you're hesitant about them... give them a try!
For accessories I wanted to go with rose gold tones to create more of a monochromatic feel. Long necklaces normally aren't my thing, but the marbled detailing on this one is gorgeous! The earrings I chose are handmade locally from Lil' Roxies. The druzy trend is so fun! I also decided to add a couple of delicate rings. I think this might be a "signature" thing for me. Rings are my favorite accessory.
With the farmers market coming to a close, I had to create a final look for the freshest season of the year. Minimalism was at the forefront of my thought process. In order to carry the heaps of the best local produce Sacramento has to offer, constriction was a non option.
I went with these amazingly comfortable black joggers, and a dusty rose cozy sweater. I jazzed up the look with a dusty rose lace bralette, a distressed denim jacket, and a flamingo print scrunchie.
I continued to accessorize with a leopard print poppy clip for my sweater, a gold layered necklace, gold oval earrings, and gold framed aviator sunglasses. This look is appropriate for any weekend or errand day, with just enough effortless fashion elements.
There's nothing like an early trip to the farmers market to start your week off right! Set yourself up for success by fueling your body with the fresh nutrients it needs. Not only are you surrounded by delicious food, but you're also in a warm friendly environment, perfect for a nice stroll. Now, let's take a look at an outfit you might wear or be inspired by for your day at the market!
Since the farmers market is so laid back, I usually like to go in something nice and comfortable, perfect for walking around. Fall is one of my favorite times to go because of all the gorgeous colors, so of course I had to incorporate them into my outfit! Camel is definitely one of my go-to fall colors, it just pairs so well with any other earth tones! I used that color as my main platform for my look by using it with my shirt and hat. This camel dolman top is lightweight and long sleeved, perfect for the slight fall breeze and the hat is cute corduroy material!
To stay warm and cozy I also added a mustard scarf with tassels and a fun indi design on it, which pulled my entire look together. Finally, the most important factor, staying comfortable! Jeans and running shoes are the best way to go when you know you're going to do a lot of walking. The jeans are light-washed with some distressed holes in the front and my shoes are burgundy which added some extra color that helped make the scarf pop! Now that you are all set with both a cute and comfortable outfit, go out and enjoy a nice day at the farmers market and pick up some fresh fruits and veggies for your upcoming week!
Time to start the season off right with some fresh food and new clothes!
