What better way to start fall off right than with some fresh fruits and veggies from the farmers market! When shopping at your typical supermarket, you will often find food that has been out for days and are starting to go bad. However, at your local farmers market, you will find food that isn't only super fresh, yummy, and full of nutrients, but they're also free from all those nasty chemicals that stores use to keep your food "fresh." We encourage you to choose a healthier lifestyle and support local farmers near you! Oak Park's farmers market will be open every Saturday until October 27th, hope to see you there!
Now that the weather has leveled out around the mid 70's we can enjoy all sorts of activities outside while actually wearing layers! YAY! One of the most fun things to do in Sacramento this time of year is visiting our farmers markets for fresh produce, flowers, artisan goods, and cool crafty items! I feel like dressing up to go the the farmers market is just as fun as actually going. I mean it would practically be a crime to go without a cute "farmers market outfit" and equally chic shopping tote. Did that sound like a total Californian thing to say?...haha since we live smack dab in the middle of the golden state, oh well!
I chose our new floral and stripe kimono midi dress to style for the farmers market. I love this dress because it has a vintage vibe with the patterns and muted color scheme. This little number is made of a light breathable cotton blend with an added extra insert in the skirt portion which is a really nice feature! Its adorned with not one but two different sets of ties, one at the waist and one behind the neck. I can totally see myself wandering the endless rows of vendors at a farmers market in this super flattering dress, it just screams I only buy local organic produce!
For my accessories I chose a forest green Greek fisherman hat, a vintage looking tri-necklace, a marble half moon necklace, and a simple hammered gold cuff. So I'm currently obsessed with this corduroy hat! Its the prettiest green color that you have ever seen! I also love that its a bit over sized but you can adjust the size of the hat with the buckle in the back which is a lovely feature. The necklaces and cuff felt super artisan to me so that tied in perfectly to our theme this week, I usually get drawn in by anything unusual or handmade looking so naturally these were perfect!

Hey friends! One of the things I love about this time of year is the crisp cool mornings. Even if the weather plays tricks on us and reaches the eighties by the afternoon, we get to pretend it’s real Fall until about noon.
To make this outfit easy and comfortable while staying cool, I paired our corduroy skirt to keep it trendy. Adding some cute accessories really makes this outfit pop! I love collecting unique neckerchiefs to easily spice up an outfit and a hat to make getting ready even quicker.
One of the great things about Sacramento is its endless choices of activities to do around town and the farmers market is for sure at the top of the list! This week I went for a look I can rock to the farmers market and still continue to wear for the rest of the day around the city!
Since fall is settling in I decided to go with a comfy brown corduroy skirt and paired it with a navy blue tank top. I ended my outfit with a black waffle sweater that's ideal because its light and perfect for the windy days!
I accessorized simple with a studded diamond curved bar necklace and gold statement earrings. This overall look is sweet and simple especially for a day at the farmers market while still being able to get good use of this outfit at other places like brunch or the park

Are there many things better than strolling through the farmers market on a crisp Fall morning? I don't think so. For this week's outfit I kept my style cozy and very casual. I am in love with these muted rose and blush tones that have been popping up lately, so this distressed sweater is right up my alley!
As much as I'd love to throw on a pair of leggings with this mauve color raw hem sweater, I am trying really hard to break that habit this year. I always feel more polished when I put jeans on anyway. Add some cute slides and you've got a really cute outfit!
I wanted to show some versatility with this outfit, especially if its a colder day in Sacramento. Replace the long necklace for a scarf and you can keep warm without having to add the bulk of a jacket. It's almost like wearing a blanket!
Even though it's starting to get chilly, the sun is still out in full force. These rose gold aviators were perfect for my outfit and pretty much a staple in my wardrobe. I think I've mentioned before that aviators are a universally flattering style for anyone, so if you're hesitant about them... give them a try!
For accessories I wanted to go with rose gold tones to create more of a monochromatic feel. Long necklaces normally aren't my thing, but the marbled detailing on this one is gorgeous! The earrings I chose are handmade locally from Lil' Roxies. The druzy trend is so fun! I also decided to add a couple of delicate rings. I think this might be a "signature" thing for me. Rings are my favorite accessory.
With the farmers market coming to a close, I had to create a final look for the freshest season of the year. Minimalism was at the forefront of my thought process. In order to carry the heaps of the best local produce Sacramento has to offer, constriction was a non option.
I went with these amazingly comfortable black joggers, and a dusty rose cozy sweater. I jazzed up the look with a dusty rose lace bralette, a distressed denim jacket, and a flamingo print scrunchie.
I continued to accessorize with a leopard print poppy clip for my sweater, a gold layered necklace, gold oval earrings, and gold framed aviator sunglasses. This look is appropriate for any weekend or errand day, with just enough effortless fashion elements.
There's nothing like an early trip to the farmers market to start your week off right! Set yourself up for success by fueling your body with the fresh nutrients it needs. Not only are you surrounded by delicious food, but you're also in a warm friendly environment, perfect for a nice stroll. Now, let's take a look at an outfit you might wear or be inspired by for your day at the market!
Since the farmers market is so laid back, I usually like to go in something nice and comfortable, perfect for walking around. Fall is one of my favorite times to go because of all the gorgeous colors, so of course I had to incorporate them into my outfit! Camel is definitely one of my go-to fall colors, it just pairs so well with any other earth tones! I used that color as my main platform for my look by using it with my shirt and hat. This camel dolman top is lightweight and long sleeved, perfect for the slight fall breeze and the hat is cute corduroy material!
To stay warm and cozy I also added a mustard scarf with tassels and a fun indi design on it, which pulled my entire look together. Finally, the most important factor, staying comfortable! Jeans and running shoes are the best way to go when you know you're going to do a lot of walking. The jeans are light-washed with some distressed holes in the front and my shoes are burgundy which added some extra color that helped make the scarf pop! Now that you are all set with both a cute and comfortable outfit, go out and enjoy a nice day at the farmers market and pick up some fresh fruits and veggies for your upcoming week!
Time to start the season off right with some fresh food and new clothes!
