Hey RIRE fam! We're feeling more giddy than Buddy the Elf about Christmas approaching. We hope your holiday shopping is going great, even if it's just for yourself ;)
For this week's Styled by RIRE, we'll be styling our new Grey Corduroy Jacket in five unique ways! See what we came up with below!
You may recognize this beauty from our IG or helping you find the perfect dress while shopping with us in the past. This week we're delighted to welcome back Jourdan to our RIRE girl gang! Can we talk about how cute she looks for this week's style? We're beyond excited to see how she styles items for our upcoming looks! Don't forget to say hi and welcome back next time you see her!
For this weeks look I did my best to be sexy, lol. I was going for a very specific vibe: College student that's just about to finish finals and is only able to throw her hair up and barely button a shirt before her last exam. I think I nailed it!
I actually really love this top, it's warm even with just a bralette underneath. I'm not usually able to pull off the slouchy one shouldered look but I think because of the buttons it was more possible and still really comfortable!
For jeans I wanted something a little more plain to let the top be the standout part so I selected our last pair [!!!] of ripped black jeans. I also grabbed our last pair of super reflective sunnies & called it a look.
For this week’s look, I’m loving the versatility of our Grey Corduroy Jacket because you can easily wear it open, layered over another piece, or wear it as a top alone.
The jacket runs a little big so I paired it over the cozy red chenille cropped sweater, and styled with a comfy pair of distressed black jeans for a color contrast. Flannels are a fall staple and by tying the red one around the waist, it pulls the look altogether for a street wear outfit.
Now that the weather is cold, keep your ears warm by wearing a knitted beanie! Finish the look off by accessorizing with the dual choker necklace set.
Even with the cooler weather you can still wear dresses by layering! I went for a casual weekend look by layering the corduroy jacket over our mock neck ribbed dress. I cuffed the sleeves for a bit of added flair but it would also look cute uncuffed or even pushed up if you got a little warm in doors.
I dressed this look up by adding fun accessories! Since the navy dress paired with the ash grey jacket gives off a muted look, I thought it would be fun to add pops of color. The wool hat will keep you warm and looks great paired with navy. One of my favorite fall accessories are neckerchiefs! They add an element of "pulled together" and they're practical with keeping you warm.
To be honest, when I first was figuring out how I wanted to style our corduroy jacket I was pretty stumped. It's not something that is usually in my wardrobe and I almost felt like I wasn't cool enough for it! But with a little help from Pinterest and my boho-obsessed style, I am IN LOVE with this jacket and the entire look I came up with!
I first added a sweater underneath the jacket because it's been pretty chilly outside, and I knew I wanted to pair it with our beige skirt to accentuate the faded grunge in the corduroy. I topped off the look with a neck scarf and hat because I've been loving this combo lately, and felt that it brought out those Palm Springs in the Fall vibes.
Finally, I added this vintage inspired fringe necklace that I've been drooling over since we got it in stock! I love how it ties in the black accessories and faded black in the jacket. Since it's such a comfortable look, I would wear this outfit to work, a lunch date, even a date night with my other half! This jacket is super versatile which is a winner in my books.
