It's officially Thanksgiving week! Who's ready for stuffing, pie, and extra gravy? Not only are we excited for the food, but also for all of the food-baby friendly outfits to style! This week for Styled by RIRE, we'll each be showing you how we love to wear a t-shirt dress for the colder months.
See how we styled our Navy Mock Neck Dress below!
Hey ladies! I was super excited to style this dress this week because I'm a lover of basic clothing items. I pretty much live in t-shirt dresses all summer, so I was happy to take on the challenge of dressing in one for fall! Believe it or not, I picked out a few pieces quickly before we snapped some shots of my look. I'm definitely not one to be super stylish all the time, but I found this dress very easy to dress up and feel cute in!
To make this look trendy, I paired some tassel earrings and one of my favorite jackets we recently started carrying. I own a pair of these earrings and I'm OBSESSED with them! They take a regular outfit up about 5 notches while also making feel like I didn't try hard at all. And to let you in on a little secret: Bauble Bar carries a similar pair, but you can snag yours while also shopping small at RIRE for Small Business Saturday this weekend!
This would be a look I would wear to a Friendsgiving, Christmas shopping if the weather isn't too bad, or even a park date with my little girl! I topped off this look with some casual sneakers and a hat, because sometimes even dry shampoo doesn't cut it.
When thinking of winter you don't typically think of wearing skater dresses, but depending on how you style the dress it can be winter appropriate. This week's Styled by RIRE is the mock neck skater dress in the on-trend navy color. It's a lightweight knit fabrication that can easily be layered to create that perfect winter look.
I styled the skater dress by layering a cozy knit sweater in classic greige (grey+beige!) over it. The sweater features a buttery soft thick fabric that is ideal for curling up by the fire on cold winter night. If you would like, you can layer a pair of tights under your dress for some extra warmth. ( I forgot mine at home lol).
I've mentioned before that boots are a seasonal favorite of mine and I paired this look with my thigh high black boots with a thick heel for a color contrast. To pull the look altogether, I accessorized with a gold circle necklace with a black stone accent to go with the boots. On rainy days or bad hair days top your look off with a cute wool floppy hat. Now you're ready for brunch with the girls or a casual lunch date.
I really like this weeks item, I actually have 3 different Navy dresses so styling the featured item this week was really fun & inspiring! Since the dress has a unique mock-neck I wanted to highlight it with a really cool necklace. I didn't want anything too long to highlight the neck-line.
After I saw the dress with the necklace, I thought it would be cool to add one of our colorful fair-trade scarves, especially since they have dangly fabric on the ends! I love how it looks with the silver & wine colors mixing and poking through. Since it's been so sunny out I wanted to add a wide-brim hat, it also adds a little bit of warmth along with our faux fur jacket.
This dress is a really comfortable fit & material so I would definitely wear it to dinner & a movie ;)
Sacramento weather has been all over the place! We were literally in shorts a week and a half ago, then it got chilly and rainy, and of course the sun decides to make a guest appearance. Luckily, this week's item is perfect for the roller coaster weather we get to enjoy each season!
I kept it really simple since this time of year can be really chaotic with running around for the holidays. The mock neck style is on-trend and pretty flattering. I typically don't like things so close to my neck but this was not an issue and really comfortable. The sleeves are also welcome for chillier days.
I added a long silver Y necklace. The dainty style is one of my favorites and it added just enough to elevate the dress from "basic" to "A for effort." I went for an edgy moto jacket to offset the girly silhouette of the dress (as I mentioned I love combining styles!). I finished the look with my favorite black low ankle booties. I know high ankle booties are more trendy this season but I just can't let these babies go!
I was surprised how much I loved this dress when I put it on. It's really comfortable and I felt really confident in it! I highly recommend it during this holiday season and beyond!
