Happy Monday friends! This week we are styling our Black Double Scoop Dress. Every girl needs a little black dress in her wardrobe! This dress is great because it is easily versatile and you can dress it up or down. Add bright colors to make it summertime fun or black accessories for a sexy night out! Let's check out how everyone styled this dress down below!
It's little black dress time! This spicy little number is the perfect addition to any fashionista's wardrobe. Its scoop neckline and even more dramatic low back is just hot enough for summer. With a relaxed fit and short hemline, it plays between flirty and casual.
I decided to keep my look simple because the dress is such a statement piece. Pairing it with layered gold necklaces with various charms drew focus to the neckline. A fun bralette in black added strappy detail to the shoulders and back.
Black sunnies with gold detail and a forest green hat completed the look with just enough cool! This look can be worn with summer sandals for a day look, ankle booties for festival vibes, or sexy closed toe heels for an effortless date look.
If you live in Sacramento you know the temperatures can fluctuate so often that it only makes sense to keep out a good assortment of year-round essential items. This weekend went from 66 to 86 in a matter of 3 days! So, for my look this week I paired the low dip back dress with a button up for easy layering.
This casual dress can be worn for a lot of fun summer activities and the low back makes it airy to stay cool during the heat. I wore it with a sticky bra (just in case you're wondering what type of bra to use). However, I have a few strappy back bralettes that would pair nicely with this dress. With the button up layered over the dress I think it stepped it up and added a nice splash of color. I love button ups because you can wear them unbuttoned or tie a cute knot in front, I tried both and loved both looks!
I kept my accessories simple to not clash with the color and stripes of the button up. This marble necklace adds a nice compliment of color and design. This look is perfect for spending an afternoon around town and catching a late movie or dinner.
It's safe to say that the color black is completely taking over my wardrobe at this point. We're slowly drifting into summertime but I still love dressing from head to toe in my all black outfits! This week I went for a semi casual cute look with this little black dress!
This dress is perfect because you can style it up or dress it down to fit whichever occasion you find yourself in, all while remaining comfy the whole time! I paired this dress with a black jacket with fringes. This jacket keeps my outfit from looking too casual and the fringes make it fun and edgy! My choice of shoes was the deciding factor to making my overall look seem casual! The converse helped made my outfit comfortable for me to wear all day long. Depending on the event I cant change my shoes for some wedges to transition into a fancier look! It's all about the shoes!
Because my outfit is all black I decided to wear a gold and pink tassel necklace to add a little bit of color! The soft pink of the necklace helped add a unique look to my style without taking away from what I was wearing!
This dress is a wardrobe staple for all year long! It's light material makes it nice and cool for summer or you can easily add layers to make it cozy for winter. There are so many different ways to pair this dress, it works with most unique styles. I went for a more dressy casual look for my outfit by pairing it with a sage green floral kimono!
Just because our dress is black doesn't mean we can't brighten it up with a little color! This kimono is a soft mint color with a white floral design, perfect for spring. What ties the dress in with the kimono is it's black detailing that is very subtle but when paired with a black dress, it makes that detailing pop even more! Kimonos are great for spring because they are light and breezy, easy for creating a trendy springtime look.
Accessories play a big part when trying to spice up a simple dress! I paired my look with a white double circle necklace, the necklace helps pull out the white in the kimono. Something I like to do with simple flowy dresses is to add a longer necklace to create some shape. This especially works with kimonos, shirts, and any longer piece of clothing that might not have much shape to it. This is a nice casual look that is great for a long day of shopping and brunch with the girls!
Knit dresses are a go-to for me during the summer time. I love how they are lightweight, breathable and perfect for a mom on the go, like myself.
I layered this dress over a basic white tee because the dress has a low scoop back detail and I prefer to keep my back covered. However, wearing the dress over the tee gives this look a 90s vibe. Since chokers have made their comeback, they have been my favorite style necklace. I like this choker a lot because it comes as a layered set and I love to layer everything.
You can wear this dress for a day at school or for a casual weekend. To complete the 90s look, I wore a cute pair of lace-up boots with a pair of tube socks. I scrunched the socks right above the boots to add a little pop to my edgy look.
